most of all between Paris l’amour (du mal), bad Berlin
—and— naughty N.Y.C. …

…Mr. Miller is cashin‘ up in a liquor store in Akron, OHIO…
…Miss Spitfire is dispatchin‘ tonight’s first client in Essex…
…a bushwhacker named Joey from Guelph, Ontario…
…there’s an obdurate lad(y) startin‘ a new career in our hood ~
as a drag queen in a stranger’s skins instead of bare in… Latex…

…there’s a real(ly) large realm of socalled opinions all around us…
…a swarm of self-declared brothers claim to have found us…
…there’s a medieval flag at full mast in our village’s centre…
…there’s our lord’s video~message to all frozen in midwinter… … …

…there’s Monsieur Dubois stocking meat potatoes wine near Grenoble…
…Mademoiselle Chevalier signing up for Applied History at Sorbonne…
Igor and Leroy RE-recognize each other as a worst kind of innate rivals…
this world’s expecting its state~actors to get their final job finally done…

…and what about us…
…any there as any here at sundown…
…we dare not to make any difference…
…the circus of freaks is back in town…
…kicking up a stink feels like making sense…
…and yet it feels like that’s all about us… … …;
